What you are agreeing to

These terms cover the use of clesil.com, a publication of Creole recipes written and maintained by FEFLA VENDAS ONLINE LTDA (referred to here as "we", "us" or "the publisher"). By opening any page of the site, browsing a recipe, or otherwise using the content, you accept the terms below. If a particular part does not sit right with you, the simplest remedy is to stop using the site; nobody is required to read a recipe here.

What this site is

Clesil Kitchen publishes original and adapted recipes from Louisiana Creole cooking, along with short editorial notes about ingredients and technique. It is a content publication, not a service, not a marketplace, and not a place where anything is bought, ordered or shipped. There is no membership tier, no paid subscription and no account system. Every recipe you can read is available to every visitor, without exception, regardless of how they arrived at the page.

Who can use the site

The site is intended for a general audience old enough to enter into a binding agreement in their own jurisdiction. If local law in your country sets a higher age for that, you confirm you meet it before using the site. We do not knowingly direct content at, or collect information from, young children.

Using our recipes at home

Cooking is meant to be shared, so we grant every visitor a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view, print and cook from any recipe published here for private, non-commercial use. Photocopy a recipe for your own kitchen binder, forward the page to a family member, print it and tape it above the stove. All of that is welcome.

What you may not do with our content

• Republish whole articles or recipe write-ups (the text, the headnotes, the step-by-step method) on another website, in a newsletter, in a cookbook, or in any other publication without our prior written permission.
• Present our writing as your own or strip the site name from a substantial copy of it.
• Scrape, mirror or systematically download the site with automated tools for republication elsewhere.
• Use the site, or any content taken from it, in a way that is unlawful, deceptive, or intended to harm the site, its readers or a third party.

Facts and techniques cannot be owned; nobody can copyright the idea of a roux or the existence of red beans and rice. What is protected is our specific expression of it: the exact wording, the phrasing of a method, the particular photograph. Recipes you cook from this page are yours to make as often as you like.

Ownership of the site

The text, layout, design and original photography selection on clesil.com belong to FEFLA VENDAS ONLINE LTDA or to the third parties credited or licensed for specific images, and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property law. The Clesil Kitchen name and any associated marks belong to the publisher. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of that to you.

The nature of a recipe

A recipe is a starting point, not a fixed promise. Ovens, stovetops, altitude, ingredient freshness and personal taste all change an outcome, sometimes significantly. We write and, where possible, test each recipe carefully, but we cannot promise that your result will match ours exactly, and cooking always carries some inherent risk (heat, open flame, sharp tools, raw ingredients). Use ordinary kitchen judgment and caution.

Links to other sites

Where a recipe or article links out to another website, that site operates independently of us. We do not control, endorse or take responsibility for the content, policies or practices of any site we link to, and following an outbound link is at your own discretion.

No warranty

The site and its content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty that the information is complete, current, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. We correct mistakes when we find them, but we cannot promise the site will always be accurate, uninterrupted or available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FEFLA VENDAS ONLINE LTDA will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything published on it, including a cooking result that did not turn out as expected. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to the site or these terms

We may add, edit or remove recipes and other content at any time, and we may revise these terms as the site evolves. When we do, we update the revision date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict of law principles, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Brazil, unless local consumer protection law in your place of residence requires otherwise.
